Welcome.
Let me start out with a bit of credit. Alex Scoble, a true professional who has been at this blog thing for some time has inspired me. How so? Well, for some time, Alex has been suggesting I start a blog. I briefly worked with Alex about 5 years ago for Taos Mountain Consulting. We have kept in touch. I have been reading his blog for some time as well as others. I tried to start one a couple of times but never really had a direction of what I wanted to write about. That’s where Alex stepped in the last time I spoke to him on instant messenger and made me realize that I should finally do this. So thanks Alex, I am dedicated to doing this from here on.
My experience with blogs: I tried one about my family, but decided I preferred to retain their privacy. I tried to start one about politics, but that gets a bit old quick and most people are put off by political opinions. Plus politics is done to death. On TV, the radio, and believe it or not people, the news is loaded with it. What’s that saying about political opinions? Right, everybody has one. That being said I will try my best to keep my opinions out of this page.
Anyway it occured to me that I should write about the things that are my passion. I could get as off-topic as I want, as long as the theme and message of my page remains the same. And this is where I must make an honest admission. I am a geek. I must profess that I believe I am the world’s strongest geek however as I work out constantly and I am attempting a 500 lb bench press in the spring. (That has been a long-held goal of mine). More on that later on, and back to the geek thing. I am a geek, I love computers, I love toys, I have made it my profession.
So, to keep this first post short, I will conclude for now. I will try to regularly update as I think of interesting stuff to write about. I will lay low over the holidays and starting in 2006 I will be working on this page as much as possible.
