Yahoo shakes it up

Some of the crew I worked with at SGI went over to Yahoo and I have a number of friends and acquaintances that are there still.   I haven’t confirmed with those that I know, but I would guess there is probably a morale issue there nowadays.  Today’s news of a shakeup could be a chance to change things there for the better.

I for one, do hope Yahoo pulls out of this.  John Furrier @ the BroadDev site today shares his thoughts on strategies about how Yahoo needs to compete. I must say I agree.  We definitely need Yahoo in the game.  It would be a shame if this was the beginning of a crumble, I guess that’s the way the game is played.  Someone, some site, some technology will come out at some point and the search monsters, Yahoo, Google, and whomever – will have to deal with it.

Anyone have any predictions?
